Just a few days ago, I watched\u00a0The Crazies.<\/em>\u00a0And compared to\u00a0Shutter Island\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Alice in Wonderland<\/em>, I liked this movie the best.\u00a0 Sometimes, I just like simple, and that’s exactly what The Crazies was – simple. Not a blockbuster, or something with a crazy and thought-provoking plot. \u00a0 The previews, the plot, and the execution, there was hardly anything to think about.\u00a0 Simple, survival, horror.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It also helped the fact that I was so graciously allowed to actually redeem a free movie ticket I had earned throughout the last few months, so I paid absolutely nothing to enjoy a good thriller.<\/p>\n I like Timothy Olyphant, and it’s admittedly a little strange to see him portraying a morally strong, face-type, instead of the arrogant, yet dangerously intelligent heel-type he seems to always portray in everything else he does.<\/p>\n Radha Mitchell, I think most people would remember her if at all, as the mom from the\u00a0Silent Hill\u00a0<\/em>film rendition, but only dweebs like me remembers cast names in a flick where a chick gets ripped from the inside-out from rusty barb wires going up into her cooter.\u00a0 She plays the sheriff’s wife, who is precariously hot-bodied despite being like, two seconds pregnant.<\/p>\n And that’s really about it.\u00a0 Small, corn-fed Iowa town gets infected with a mystery disease that makes people go insane, and a small band of survivors try to get out of dodge before the shit hits the fan.\u00a0 Simple, yet not at all bad.\u00a0 To emphasize how much I enjoyed the flick, one of these days it’ll be on one of the four Cinemax channels.\u00a0 If I were to run into\u00a0The Crazies<\/em>\u00a0on Cinemax, I’m definitely holding the channel.\u00a0 Unless\u00a0Forrest Gump<\/em>\u00a0is on another Cinemax channel.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Just a few days ago, I watched\u00a0The Crazies.\u00a0And compared to\u00a0Shutter Island\u00a0and\u00a0Alice in Wonderland, I liked this movie the best.\u00a0 Sometimes, I just like simple, and that’s exactly what The Crazies was – simple.
