font-size: 12pt;\">All across the country, Chinese food is about as American as McDonalds.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re in Miami, Florida or Eugene, Oregon, beef and broccoli is going to be the same thing as if you got a Big Mac extra value meal in Boston, Mass or Barstow, Cal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>China King<\/em>.*<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>China Dragon.<\/em><em><br \/>\nChina Phoenix.<br \/>\nChina Heaven.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Unlike McDonalds though, despite the fact that every Chinese restaurant pretty much has the exact same menu, they\u2019re never named the same things; unless you\u2019re like Manchu Wok or Panda Express, as they are more literal, in comparison to the McDonalds\u2019 and other fast food franchises of the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>New China.**<\/em><em><br \/>\nTasty China.<br \/>\nLucky China.<br \/>\nHappy China.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">I went to a grocery store, and I noticed this restaurant, simply called \u201cCHINA.\u201d\u00a0 I thought to myself,\u00a0<em>wow, can\u2019t possibly get more straight to the point than\u00a0<strong>that<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/em>Then it occurred to me that simply put, I\u2019d never once, seen a place simply called CHINA before.\u00a0 And then I\u2019m thinking\u00a0<em>why not?<\/em>\u00a0It\u2019s the most obvious name in the world, to name a Chinese restaurant, but never until now have I ever seen one before.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>China Cafe.<\/em><em><br \/>\nChina House.<br \/>\nChina Kitchen.<br \/>\nChina Garden.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Instead, businesses delve into superfluous adjectives, pronoun use, or cliched terms that connote with Chinese food.\u00a0 Some places probably think they\u2019re being creative or groundbreaking, when they\u2019re able to come up with a name that doesn\u2019t actually use the word \u201cChina\u201d in it at all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>Golden Buddha.<\/em><em><br \/>\nOrient Express.<br \/>\nChopsticks.<br \/>\nChopstix.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">It\u2019s not like Chinese people have any regard at all when it comes to copyrights or affiliations.\u00a0 Nor do they seem to care if their desired name is already taken, they can simply open up their own location, slap a Roman numeral on it, and be the alleged sequel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><em>Chin Chin.<\/em><em><br \/>\nChin Chin II.<br \/>\nFortune Cookie.<br \/>\nHong Kong Harbour.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">It makes me wonder how a name like just CHINA managed to slip through the cracks, and evade being seen by detail-oriented people like me for this long.\u00a0 My first line of thinking is that it\u2019s something so obvious, that no Chinese restauranteur bothered to go with it, because it was assumed to already be taken.\u00a0 Clearly, it wasn\u2019t.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Nor, should it be any surprise at all, that when checking at least the Metro Atlanta area, it\u2019s not the only one.\u00a0 Guess it wasn\u2019t\u00a0<em>that\u00a0<\/em>original in the end, but that really shouldn\u2019t be much of a surprise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora;
