I don\u2019t really know why it is, but I always take a tremendous amount of satisfaction whenever Ohio State loses at any collegiate sport, especially football.\u00a0 On a day in which I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be except watch movies and football, I was certainly pleased to see Virginia Tech beat an unranked Delaware and I even took some enjoyment in watching South Carolina beat Missouri since I kind of root for them now.\u00a0 Through great pain, I watched Auburn fail to move the ball, at all, against Clemson.\u00a0 And I took great pleasure in watching the always-overrated Notre Dame fall against, Georgia; whose fans basically dominated South Bend, and should be an embarrassment to the Irish, frankly.<\/span><\/p>\n

But no other college football game gave me as much pleasure to see the end result than #5 Oklahoma taking down #2 THE Ohio State<\/a>, in Columbus.\u00a0 I don\u2019t really know why, but I just love to see whenever Ohio State loses at anything.\u00a0 I\u2019m pretty sure, it stems from the royal THE that their fans and supporters are adamant to preface Ohio State with, but maybe it\u2019s because they\u2019re legitimately good at sports and they\u2019re the titan that I personally just like to see get taken down from time to time.\u00a0 Regardless, seeing them choke at home and lose in just the second week of the season is pretty much all I needed to see to feel that this is going to be a fun season.<\/span><\/p>\n

You know, my general animosity towards TOSU probably stems from the egregious amounts of arrogance displayed by TOSU, whether it\u2019s their legions of obnoxious fans who have to use the THE, or like when TOSU tried to copyright the acronym \u201cTOSU\u201d despite the fact that there are two other NCAA programs whose abbreviated name is also TOSU.\u00a0 But in the case of their fans, nothing is more satisfying than knowing that every choad, broad, bro and douche that were at College GameDay, obnoxiously being TOSU fans and talking mad smack about Oklahoma is feeling that hangover of arrogantly supporting a loser.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the cherry on top of this upset, was when Oklahoma\u2019s quarterback, Baker Mayfield, took the OU flag, and planted it dead center of the TOSU logo at the center of the field.\u00a0 Non-sports fans don\u2019t really get it, but it\u2019s pretty much the ultimate disrespect to do something like that in sports.\u00a0 It\u2019s like teabagging in FPS games, spamming taunts or laughs in League of Legends<\/em>, or flying another country\u2019s flag on a pole reserved for the national one.<\/span><\/p>\n

Big stinks are always made when like Georgia or Georgia Tech beats the other at their home, and they plant flags or rip off branches from their shrubs<\/a>, or when a guy like Terrell Owens celebrates<\/a> on top of the Dallas Cowboys\u2019 star, or when the Dodgers clinched the NL West in Arizona and celebrated in their hot tub<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Baker Mayfield planting his team\u2019s flag onto Ohio State\u2019s field is basically on the same egregious offense as the aforementioned slights.\u00a0 Obviously, none of those really mean anything in the grand spectrum of life, but in the sports world, they\u2019re declarations of war.\u00a0 But because it was someone slighting THE Ohio State, I absolutely love it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Especially after all the taunting TOSU fans were doing about Mayfield\u2019s offseason DUI, and calling Oklahoma soft and that their defense sucks, etc\u2026 Oklahoma going into Columbus and owning Ohio State on their home field is just desserts.\u00a0 To the point where TOSU fans eventually began leaving early, instead of sticking around and eating the crow that most of them deserved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless, I loved it when Mayfield ran onto the field and slammed the OU flag on their field.\u00a0 There\u2019s no better redemption for ridicule than silencing the haters, especially the arrogant TOSU ones.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
