Now it’s obvious that my current preference in what I do with my hair is pretty much summed up in a fairly erratic, somewhat\u00a0controlled\u00a0<\/em>spikiness to it.\u00a0 My mom hates it, those friends who have bothered to comment upon it have said they think it’s hip and cool, and most importantly, I’m fairly happy with it.\u00a0 In the past, I used hair gel to spike it, to which it would gradually fade as they day progressed, and my hair would revert back to a limp fluff.\u00a0 I moved onto this styling putty that my hair cutting lady used on me once after a cut, which seemed to be more effective, and sure enough it lasts a little bit longer, but by day’s end, it’s the same result.<\/span><\/p>\n

I saw a commercial one day for a product that was different than the others, and I have to admit that I was intrigued.\u00a0 Problem was, it was an\u00a0AXE <\/strong>product, and as anyone who watches a modicum of television knows that AXE products are geared and targeted to the douchebag market of men, since most of them are the most narcissistic and conscious about their appearances.\u00a0 I don’t know what that says about me, but I do like to make somewhat of an effort to appease myself, and maybe some others.<\/span><\/p>\n

But anyway, I end up getting this AXE “messy look” stuff, which has the consistency of wax, but once you put it in your hair, well . . . It’s 1:04 am at the time I’m taking to actually write this, and my hair is still somewhat puffed up and spiky to when I originally did it at 8:15 am in the morning.\u00a0 Fuckin’ incredible.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now I know that’s about the gayest thing in the world for me to write about, boasting about an AXE hair product, but hey, if it gets the gears of writing moving, then so be it.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So a brief update on several things in my life to those who care:<\/span><\/p>\n

Job: For the last three weeks, I was working a job I absolutely loathed from the work standpoint.\u00a0 The money was good, which was the only reason I continued to come in.\u00a0 But the work was boring, mind-numbing, and I was miserable there.\u00a0 The good news is that the job ended.\u00a0 The bad news is that I won’t be making any money from them.\u00a0 This is the type of person I am; I prefer not making any money and at least feel somewhat human with what I do throughout the day than get paid to do such menial, taskless work.<\/span><\/p>\n

I ran in the Peachtree Road Race again, and as I mentioned in my photo post, I was slower than previous years.\u00a0 The good news is that I found out that there was a severe delay in the chip timing system that isn’t reflected in the times reported online, to about the tune of three minutes and ten seconds.\u00a0 So if I took my time, and subtracted the margin of error, I’m quite literally hanging on a thread of being right at one cumulative hour taken to run the course.\u00a0 The bad news is that I’m still a good bit slower than I was in 2007 and especially 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my on-and-off-again funk, I started playing\u00a0Mass Effect 2<\/em>\u00a0finally, after long putting it off, citing excuse that I needed time to get into it.\u00a0 I am so far really enjoying it, and I really badly, want my Commander Shepard to bang Yeoman\u00a0Kelly Chambers<\/a>, over the other chicks, even Miranda.\u00a0 I like the flirty brainy types.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a daily basis, I get anywhere from 4-8 emails a day about people signing up for my brog. \u00a0On a daily basis, 100% of those registrations are obvious spam addresses, and my favorites are the ones with the .ru extensions, which I’m assuming are Russian porn sites or something. \u00a0It borderlines the curiosity which led me to alienating myself from my old convention site, but I have to admit it’s a little curious to know who’s actually reading my drivel these days. \u00a0Such is the life of voluntarily dropping off the e-grid somewhat these days, and I guess since I have ditched MySpace, LiveJournal, and I valiantly defy the masses and have a Facebook and\/or Twitter, there’s little way to plug my website. \u00a0Oh well?<\/span><\/p>\n

And I’m currently staying up way too fucking late right now, despite not actually being able to post this, because it appears that Comcast is dicking around and doing some maintenance to the service because all the computers in the house have lost their internet connection.\u00a0 Good thing I wasn’t playing XBOX up until that point.\u00a0 But I spent the last two days on assignment at a company where three people I used to work with back in my first job in Atlanta are now working, in a display of surrealism and small city syndrome.\u00a0 The work has been a little tedious, but very good at keeping me busy, and providing me with some vital hours to keep the bills paid.<\/span><\/p>\n

And maybe I work again tomorrow.\u00a0 Fucking maybe.\u00a0 Too many maybes in my life these days.\u00a0 Fuckin’ A.<\/span><\/p>\n
