So in preparation for Thanksgiving and the subsequent tradition of utilizing odd hours of the night or morning to hope to get some good deals on already overpriced luxuries, I\u2019ve been doing a lot of sniffing around on Black Friday websites, making a list of things that I\u2019d like to attempt to acquire.\u00a0 One of those things is a Keurig coffee maker, since I like coffee.<\/p>\n

Upon looking through one well-known retailer\u2019s circular, I couldn\u2019t help but notice some of the pricing they claim on their regularly-priced coffee makers.\u00a0 As well as the \u201csale\u201d price range of these \u201cdiscounted\u201d coffee makers.\u00a0\u00a0Special $5.99 – $2,520.00.\u00a0<\/strong>Wait what?\u00a0\u00a0Two thousand<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0five hundred twenty<\/em>\u00a0dollars for a coffee maker?\u00a0 Down from\u00a0four thousand\u00a0<\/strong>two hundred dollars?\u00a0 What in the fuck coffee maker costs $4,000?<\/p>\n

If I\u2019m paying $4,200, there better be Colombian coffee farmers harvesting those beans fresh, crushing them by hand, and making my coffee while the hot farmer\u2019s daughter is fellating me while the luscious scent of a fresh cup of coffee is wafting through the morning air.\u00a0 Every day.<\/p>\n

I can understand fabricating a\u00a0slightly<\/em> higher price to dupe the consumer into thinking they\u2019re getting some kind of robbery of a steal, but there\u2019s such a thing as a little too exaggerated for their own good.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
