lolz. Seriously, this is I guess what\u2019s really left of the rogue Occupy Atlanta movement. This is close to where I work, and when I got an email from building management that there was a planned Occupy Atlanta protest at 2 p.m. today, I could wait to \u201chave to get a refill\u201d at Starbucks then.<\/span><\/p>\n

So much for the mighty movement that was supposedly supposed to change the face of modern society and commerce or something like that.<\/span><\/p>\n

And out of these twenty people, I\u2019m fairly positive that seven of these people are homeless recruits. It\u2019s not uncommon practice in this city for protesters to recruit homeless folks, promise them twenty bucks to stand amongst them or pass out flyer or something like that. One passerby straight up asked one of the suspected homeless guys if they understood what the protest was about, only to be met with a blank stare, before one of the hipster douches of the group intervened.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

It really is kind of a fascinating dynamic, as small of a faction as they are now. You have homeless guys, hipsters with wayfarers and\/or Jew-fros, elderly hippie activists, and a few token attractive girls who are designated pieces of ass to reel in dudes to come and talk and receive literature about their anti-societal rhetoric.<\/span><\/p>\n

But my favorite is this guy, in another photo I took:<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m thinking he\u2019s one of the recruits or something, because he\u2019s holding up his end of the sign in one hand, but in the other hand is clearly texting or taking a picture, but the thing is that he\u2019s not actually paying any attention to the so-called protesting he\u2019s there to do.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
