My friend forwarded me a link today; it was for some upcoming\u00a0Mass Effect 3<\/em>\u00a0downloadable content.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t even downloaded the \u201cupdated\u201d ending downloadable content that was released, some time ago, I don\u2019t really remember when. The point is, I realized that I didn\u2019t really care about this new downloadable content.<\/span><\/p>\n The bottom line is that the way the Mass Effect 3 ended, I guess had a bigger impact on me than I thought it would.\u00a0 I don\u2019t remember abhorring it like lots of people all over the internet did, but at the same time, I don\u2019t actually remember feeling any sort of satisfaction at it either.\u00a0 All I really know is that going through the game a second time, as the ultimate renegade, as I had done in both prior MEs, felt more like a chore than being an entertained demi-god, stomping everything in sight.\u00a0 In fact, I\u00a0didn\u2019t even finish<\/em>\u00a0that game, because I first wanted to get 100% galactic readiness, but then\u00a0that<\/em> most certainly became a chore, and I never pursued it.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n It\u2019s really quite incredible the more I think about it.\u00a0 After ME2, I exclaimed that it was my favorite game ever, beating out years of Resident Evils, Silent Hills, Left 4 Deads, Final Fantasy Tactics, and various 90s-era SquareSoft games.\u00a0 But after the conclusion of ME3, I just don\u2019t really care about the franchise as much as I once did.\u00a0 There\u2019s something to be said to describe such a phenomenon, but I can\u2019t really place my finger on it.\u00a0 It\u2019s a lot like a wet blanket over the series, because I still do like a lot about the Mass Effect series, but there\u2019s something awkward and unpleasant about it that makes it being genuinely comfortable to truly love.<\/span><\/p>\n As for the upcoming DLC, who knows if I\u2019ll bother to get it.\u00a0 I just don\u2019t really care about it.\u00a0 If it costs anything more than what I have remaining in my MSPoints, I probably won\u2019t bother, but if it\u2019s free, and I actually have some free time, then maybe.\u00a0 SPOILERS AHEAD But if it actually is going to cost money, it\u2019s going to be a pretty hard fucking sell to make me want a bonus mission to a game where everything is fucking eradicated in the end anyway.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" My friend forwarded me a link today; it was for some upcoming\u00a0Mass Effect 3\u00a0downloadable content.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t even downloaded the \u201cupdated\u201d ending downloadable content that was released, some time ago, I don\u2019t really remember when.
