Considering I had the World Championship belts for the WWF and ECW from the late 90s into mid 2000s era, it was inevitable that I would need to get the WCW World Championship belt eventually.\u00a0 An opportunity arose when I saw one for sale on Ebay with an egregiously high Buy It Now price and an unknown reserve attached to it.\u00a0 I knew what I had wanted to spend and I honestly didn\u2019t think it had a chance to break the reserve considering that the Buy It Now price was almost twice what I had in mind, but it turns out that my Hail Mary bid ended up nicking the reserve by three cents, making me the winner to a Big Gold Belt.<\/span><\/p>\n And the thing is this is actually a WCW belt and not one of the replicas from WWE after they had acquired all of the WCW assets.\u00a0 Nowhere on the belt is a WWE logo or emblem anywhere, and even still had a Bill Goldberg nameplate attached to it.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n So with the addition of the WCW World Championship to my collection, that makes my eighth championship belt.\u00a0 I said I would be done after five, since my belt shelf only had five shelves on it, but then my best friend got married, and I saw an opportunity to get us tag team titles, which pushed me to six.\u00a0 Eventually, the retro-integration of the Intercontinental belt inspired me to track down one of those, which brought me to an ugly and uneven seven championship belts.<\/span><\/p>\n Although I\u2019ve said it several times already, I think I might be done.\u00a0 Eight is a round number, but the truth of the matter is that I can\u2019t really think of two more belts that I would want.\u00a0 I could think of one other belt I\u2019d want, which would be the ECW Television Championship, but that would put me at an odd number of belts, and then I\u2019d\u00a0have<\/em>\u00a0to get a tenth belt.\u00a0 And the last thing I\u2019d really want to do is\u00a0force<\/em>\u00a0myself to get a tenth belt that I wasn\u2019t really that involved with, not to mention that so many of the current belts aren\u2019t that appealing to me, nor would I want a current iteration of something I already have.<\/span><\/p>\n Who really knows if I\u2019ll hold to it this time, considering how many times I\u2019ve already said that the last belt was the last belt.\u00a0 I\u2019m mulling around the idea to actually instead of arduously seeking out a shelf with more shelves to put belts on, that I should considering making my own.\u00a0 Considering it\u2019s essentially just wood with legs in between them, I have to wonder just how hard it would actually be to recreate it, with more shelves?<\/span><\/p>\n But man, I don\u2019t know what\u2019s going to happen if I stumble across an ECW TV title at a reasonable cost.\u00a0 Maybe I should make the shelf to house nine belts.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Considering I had the World Championship belts for the WWF and ECW from the late 90s into mid 2000s era, it was inevitable that I would need to get the WCW World Championship belt eventually.\u00a0 An opportunity arose when I saw one for sale on Ebay with an egregiously high Buy It Now price and … Continue reading #8<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[151,15,54],"class_list":["post-34989","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-brog","tag-blets","tag-og","tag-wrestling"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/34989","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=34989"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/34989\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":34991,"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/34989\/revisions\/34991"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=34989"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=34989"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=34989"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
