{"id":35279,"date":"2013-02-14T23:26:16","date_gmt":"2013-02-15T03:26:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=35279"},"modified":"2020-07-04T23:26:27","modified_gmt":"2020-07-05T03:26:27","slug":"an-obligatory-varentines-day-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=35279","title":{"rendered":"An obligatory Varentine\u2019s Day post"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V-6X7VR9Abo?controls=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">I use the term \u201cobligatory\u201d because honestly I\u2019m starting this post without my idea of what I\u2019m going to write, but I feel like writing something anyways, so I\u2019m taking a stab at it regardless.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">I\u2019m single, and I\u2019ve been single for the better part of the last, shit, seven years. Since then, my life as it pertains to romantic pursuits has been as sporadic as locust swarms, and if that analogy\u2019s too discreet, it\u2019s to say that I have gotten very, very little activity over a long period of time. It\u2019s impossible for me to say that there\u2019s really anyone to blame for this drought but myself, as I\u2019d be the first to admit that I have as much game as the Sega Saturn, to which if <em>that<\/em> analogy is too obscure, it\u2019s to say that I\u2019ve got very little game, period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">I don\u2019t have anything against Valentine\u2019s Day at all. I\u2019m not one of those people who is bitter at the world because everyone is married or has significant others, and Valentine\u2019s Day is a day when all couples do couple-y things and all that shit, because I know that if I were in a halfway decent relationship myself, I\u2019d probably be involved in such activity as well. While I take solace in the fact that I can save my money from the flowers, cards, candy and dinner, I\u2019m not going to lie, it would be nice to have a someone in my life at times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Yes, I do admit that I get lonely from time to time, but I also know that my life can\u2019t possibly end up going this route forever. Eventually, somewhere down the road, I know I\u2019ll meet someone. I don\u2019t denounce love by any means, and I\u2019d like to think that I\u2019d like to get married someday, and maybe even have a kid or two.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">There are a lot of things I could say on this particular subject, but I fear I\u2019d be opening up more than I\u2019d really want to. So I\u2019ll end it with the note that I am single, I am admittedly lonely from time to time, but I do not hate Valentine\u2019s Day, I am not distraught, emo or miserable, and I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sRYNYb30nxU\">most certainly do believe in a thing called love<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I use the term \u201cobligatory\u201d because honestly I\u2019m starting this post without my idea of what I\u2019m going to write, but I feel like writing something anyways, so I\u2019m taking a stab at it regardless.
