font-size: 12pt;\">I\u2019ve noticed this particular billboard on my way to work in the mornings over the last few days.\u00a0 Initially, I thought about how much of a failure it was that there was absolutely zero explanation to what \u201cYMCMB\u201d stood for, but considering that we\u2019re in Atlanta, the particular location of this billboard often leans towards blatant black-power messages; I figured it was just another poorly-veiled \u201cblack people are better than you non-blacks\u201d propaganda message.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">But for what it\u2019s worth, I\u2019ve driven past it enough, and it visually stuck enough to the point where has piqued my curiosity to Google it, so in a way they have gotten a tiny measure of victory from their advertisement.\u00a0 Unfortunately, it also verifies a lot of what I theorized it was and has subsequently become a topic for me to brog about.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">So, when I Googled it, YMCMB doesn\u2019t actually bring up any particular page or website on its own.\u00a0 The first result is actually\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urbandictionary.com\/define.php?term=YMCMB\">Urban Dictionary<\/a>, which I\u2019m willing to believe gives the actual meaning of the acronym (as well as some pretty funny alternates).\u00a0 But this is what YMCMB stands for:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>Y<\/strong>oung<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>M<\/strong>oney<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>C<\/strong>ash<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>M<\/strong>oney<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>B<\/strong>illionaires<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">I wish I were making this up, but apparently several other sites have this exact definition listed as well.\u00a0 Yes, the acronym contains \u201cMoney\u201d twice.\u00a0 It\u2019s like no-talent rappers who rhyme a word with itself, and try to play it off as being different by virtue of context.\u00a0 But really, the acronym contains the word money twice.\u00a0 That\u2019s fucking hilarious.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">And also really sad.\u00a0 Because they\u2019re supposedly CONTINUING TO TAKE OVER \u2013 with their shitty grammar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">So about six links in on the Google search for YMCMB there\u2019s apparently a link from a URL called \u201cymcmbofficial.com,\u201d which implies to me that they failed to get \u201cymcmb.com,\u201d which is kind of a surprise because \u201cymcmb\u201d looks more like a default ASCII-generated file name than an actual acronym, but that just goes to show how low-rent this idea actually is.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">The funny part about the page is that it\u2019s an entire website dedicated to solely YMCMB apparel.\u00a0 That\u2019s it; the website doesn\u2019t actually explain what the acronym stands for, and it LITRALLY has nothing on it but apparel for purchase.\u00a0 And it\u2019s not even good apparel, because it\u2019s not even a good logo.\u00a0 Because it\u2019s not really even a logo at all, it\u2019s just LITRALLY the letters YMCMB in Impact font,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ymcmbofficial.com\/YMCMB\/Lookbook\/?display_product_lines=1\">printed on a litany of generic-colored pieces of sweats<\/a>.\u00a0 SWEATS.\u00a0 As if black folk\u00a0<em>need<\/em>\u00a0to propagate any more stereotypes by having nothing but sweatpants and sweatshirts to wear.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">The sad thing is that I actually expunged a few minutes researching beyond the surface of YMCMB, because I like to get a little bit of an understanding of the things I want to rip apart.\u00a0 So, \u201cYoung Money,\u201d which is also visible on the bottom left stands for\u00a0<em>Young Money Entertainment<\/em>.\u00a0 \u201cCash Money,\u201d is for\u00a0<em>Cash Money Records<\/em>, which is the core company which Young Money is actually a part of.\u00a0 So by this logic, One company is lumped together with its parent company, and the word \u201cBillionaires\u201d is added at the tail end for no apparent reason other than to falsely present the idea that there are actually any billionaires involved in this whole clusterfuck.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">What gets me though is the convoluted awareness of the YMCMB identity that there\u2019s absolutely no association differentiation between YM, CM, and YMCMB.\u00a0 In the grand hierarchy of properties and assets, CM is the only thing that matters, but they\u2019re for whatever reason, muddying things up by throwing everything else into the pot along with it.\u00a0 This is actually a perfect example of what happens when there are too many cooks in the kitchen.\u00a0 But this is also what occurs when there\u2019s nobody next to the kitchen doors to actually examine and check the food before it goes out to the public.\u00a0 Either that, or the person next to the kitchen doors are absolutely fucking retarded.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Back to the billboard, it\u2019s comical to me that it implies that YMCMB is taking over anything at all.\u00a0 I\u2019ll give them music, despite the fact that today\u2019s rap could hardly be considered music, and is a far, far, faaaaaaaar cry from the stuff that real rappers like Tupac or Public Enemy were capable of.\u00a0 But with notable names like Lil\u2019 Wayne, Drake and Nicki MiNichaelJackson, it\u2019s debatable that they might actually have some foothold in the \u201cmusic\u201d aspect of their claim.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">But fashion?\u00a0 Really?\u00a0 From a convoluted conglomerate of an organization that specializes in putting five letters of Impact font on sweat clothing, they\u2019re championing some sort of victory within the world of fashion?\u00a0 Has anyone seen what Nicki Minaj looks like?\u00a0 There\u2019s a reason why I called her \u201cMiNichaelJackson.\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019ve never seen anyone so blatantly trying to be the black Lady GaGa, and failing so miserably at it.\u00a0 And Drake?\u00a0 Is he even black?\u00a0 It\u2019s like that scene in\u00a0<em>Harold and Kumar<\/em>, where Kumar is berating a light-skinned black TSA agent, and claiming to be darker than he is, and calling him Matthew Perry.\u00a0 I\u2019m pretty sure Kumar is darker than Drake.\u00a0 Shit, I think I probably have more CMYK pigmentation in my skin than Drake does.\u00a0 So he might actually be of African descent, but Drake looks like a wigger, sorry it\u2019s true.\u00a0 And all wiggers fail at fashion, true fact.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Books: Sorry YM, CM, or YMCMB, inserts in CDs don\u2019t really count as books.\u00a0 A quick Amazon search of the terms \u201cYoung Money,\u201d \u201cCash Money\u201d or \u201cYMCMB\u201d brings up absolutely zero results that pertain to any of these things.\u00a0 Even if Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Drake or any of their low-rent performers have made any fluff books, it\u2019s YMCMB\u2019s fault for not putting their names actually on it.\u00a0 Fail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">But my favorite is \u201cTHE LIFE,\u201d which is also in red, as if it\u2019s supposed to have any emphasis on it.\u00a0 What does it even mean?\u00a0 YMCMB is taking over THE LIFE?\u00a0 Does that mean that this convoluted conglomerate is taking over the lives of every person?\u00a0 Or is it just all black people?\u00a0 I don\u2019t get it!\u00a0 How does any one thing take over, the life???<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">So, all in all, the billboard I see every morning is advertising absolutely nothing at all.\u00a0 Except maybe some non-descript sweats.\u00a0 YMCMB barely exists at all, due to a convoluted definition and poor execution of attempting to create a global multimedia conglomerate.\u00a0 Seriously, the fictional name \u201cPrestige Worldwide\u201d from\u00a0<em>Step Brothers<\/em>\u00a0probably carries more weight than YMCMB does.\u00a0 But in spite of barely existing, YMCMB also manages to falsely champion achievements that it hasn\u2019t accomplished, and for whatever reasons other than false bravado, declare some person(s), place(s) or thing(s) as billionaires.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora;
