Seriously, this makes what, five?\u00a0 It\u2019s not like the three X-Men films didn\u2019t revolve around Wolverine, and it\u2019s not like Wolverine didn\u2019t already have his own movie in\u00a0X-Men Origins: Wolverine*<\/em>\u00a0already, so I guess\u00a0The Wolverine<\/em>\u00a0makes five films about Wolverine until 20th<\/sup>\u00a0Century Fox decides that another Wolverine film is needed for another layup paycheck, and so they drop the \u201cthe\u201d and just release\u00a0Wolverine<\/em>\u00a0in like 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n *I think it\u2019s hilarious that they prefaced this with \u201cX-Men Origins:\u201d as if it were implied that 20th<\/sup>\u00a0Century Fox could make a series of origins films of any other X-Men characters whose origin stories could actually be encapsulated into 90-minute films. \u00a0It\u2019s almost as pathetic as the lucrative Street Fighter name and logo being attached to\u00a0<\/em>The Legend of Chun-Li, with slight implication that they could actually make movies about any other Street Fighter character.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Honestly, I don\u2019t really understand the worldwide fascination with Wolverine.\u00a0 Sure, he\u2019s an interesting character with a pretty complex backstory, which unfortunately dates back before just about every earthbound Marvel superhero, which means there\u2019s\u00a0always<\/em>\u00a0a ton of shit to be filled in, but would it really kill people to get off of Wolverine\u2019s jock and actually branch out some?\u00a0 There are quite a few other characters in the Marvel Universe other than Wolverine that\u00a0might actually <\/em>have somewhat compelling storylines.<\/span><\/p>\n I know there are tons of people that are suddenly Iron Man fans and Captain America fans and experts based on the popularity of the films, but if I could get a little hipster here, let\u2019s not pretend like they\u2019ve had any measure of lasting popularity compared to Wolverine.\u00a0 When X-Men dominated the 90s, nobody cared about either of those guys.\u00a0 Nobody read their individual comics, and nobody read the Avengers during that time.\u00a0 It was all about the X-Men, and most notably Wolverine. \u00a0Everything revolved around Wolverine.\u00a0 Xavier\u2019s great enemy?\u00a0 Rips out Wolverine\u2019s adamantium.\u00a0 Days of Future Past?\u00a0 Wolverine is pretty much the last survivor.\u00a0 Phalanx Covenant?\u00a0 Wolverine is one of four saviors of the X-universe with Scott and Jean not really counting because they were on their honeymoon.\u00a0 Shit, even to some more modern story arcs, like the whole Jubilee becoming a vampire;
