That\u2019s right. A video game about people playing video games. And why the hell not? As long as eSports are being recognized as professional sport, why shouldn\u2019t<\/em> they be able to have a game made out of it?<\/span><\/p>\n

Think about that for a second. Imagine creating a character that plays video games, but not just any video games, but other EA sports video games. There\u2019s a repeating image kind of redundancy about it, but that\u2019s what professional gamers do for a living sometimes; why shouldn\u2019t<\/em> EA try and capitalize on that, and make the players in the game play other EA video games? In fact, they should make the capability to make their players play other EA titles as egregiously priced downloadable content, so that they can make even moar moneys!<\/span><\/p>\n

But back to eSPORTS14. There\u2019s so many directions that a game like this could be developed. Like FIFA, you could choose a nationality; the Koreans and the Chinese would be stupidly overpowered in talent and capability, but have single digits in charisma, marketability and personality. Europeans would score high in charisma, marketability and arrogance, and South American nations would have a 99 in trolling ability, and nothing else except maybe FIFA. And since North America is pretty much EA\u2019s stomping ground, they would be given a fairly balanced kit to work with.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

You could create an individual or a team outright, and there are all sorts of modes to embark on. Kind of like that one MLB video game, you could have your individual or your team begin from noob days, where they play in basements and grungy LAN parties, to where as you gain experience and talent, move onto local, regional and state championships in repurposed school gyms or the back rooms of independently owned bars, and the ultimate goal is to get to the Staples Center for the championships of whatever genre of game you\u2019ve set your eSports superstar(s) to excel at.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along the way, you have to nurture your player(s), so that they can utilize their innate abilities to make money on endorsements, streaming and social media, but also make sure that they don\u2019t become too hated to where nobody wants to see them succeed. You can decide on whether to spend gaming income on customized jerseys, investments, or potentially buying property to build a gaming house, or if you\u2019re content on letting your virtual gamers live separately and risk becoming responsible adults and giving up the gaming life.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the virtual gamers are gaming, you have to monitor their stress levels and their anxiety, and make sure to watch their supplies of energy drinks as well as comfort of their chairs and headsets so that they can be at peak optimal gaming performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

And if everything goes well, then your character(s) will win the championship in whatever video gaming pinnacle you\u2019re going for. There will be prize money, endorsements, but most importantly, the adulation and admiration of nerds all over the virtual EA world too.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the best part is, eSPORTS14\u2019s box art can remain consistent with the rest of the 2014 EA Sports lineup.<\/span><\/p>\n
