Part of my morning routine is reading the local news.\u00a0 Yeah, I know the world is\u00a0full<\/em>\u00a0of enthralling stories on a daily basis, but the AM hours are a time in which the days are young, so why should I expand the wings so early in the morn, when there\u2019s still so much time ahead of me?\u00a0 Needless to say however, the local news is sometimes all that I need in order to find an impetus to write something.<\/span><\/p>\n And in days like today, sometimes I get a couple of things that catch my fancy, that aren\u2019t necessarily enough to justify warranting an entire wall of text, but combined, make for a hearty post nonetheless.<\/span><\/p>\n Another day, another MARTA fight recorded<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 you know how people believe that as people grow up, they tend to leave certain behaviors behind, like judging people irrationally based on nothing more than physical differences?\u00a0 Yeah, not so much in this particular case.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Two dudes were arrested after being filmed assaulting two transgendered people (I\u2019m honestly not sure whether to call them women or men<\/em>) on a MARTA train.\u00a0 Granted, it\u2019s hard to say at least one of them didn\u2019t have it coming, based on how much they were flapping their gums, but it\u2019s safe to assume that one of the arrested parties is the one to have initiated the confrontation to get motor mouth monologuing like that.<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m at an age where it\u2019s becoming rarer that the people who do dumb shit that get reported on are revealed to be older than me; most of the time I hear of robberies gone wrong, or petty crimes that make the ironic sections of the news, and they\u2019re usually a bunch of teenagers or twenty-somethings, and I can scoff and be like \u201cpffh, stupid kids<\/em>,\u201d but in this case, I\u2019m kind of surprised to see that the perps in this assault case are both older than me.<\/span><\/p>\n Seriously, at 34 and 35, these are low-lifes who haven\u2019t grown out of the tendencies to be so judgmental, much less verbally right in someone\u2019s face?\u00a0 I figure by the age of 30, most people realize life shouldn\u2019t be\u00a0that<\/em>\u00a0petty, and most judgmental opinions are done a little more privately.\u00a0 Guess not!<\/span><\/p>\n On another note, I have to say that fight videos like this are like a guilty pleasure to watch.\u00a0 Train wrecks, obviously.\u00a0 The guy in the background just going OHHHHH!\u00a0 OHHHHH!\u00a0 OHHHHHH!\u00a0 And I\u2019m astonished that not a single person yelled out \u201cWorld Star Hip Hop,\u201d too.<\/span><\/p>\n Confederate flag Georgia license plate sales rising<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 who didn\u2019t see this coming?<\/span><\/p>\n The SCV said sales of its plate in February were up 175 percent over January, and March sales were double those in January.
