{"id":39613,"date":"2014-09-06T21:25:52","date_gmt":"2014-09-07T01:25:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=39613"},"modified":"2020-07-13T21:26:04","modified_gmt":"2020-07-14T01:26:04","slug":"dc-2014-seems-legit-not","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=39613","title":{"rendered":"D*C 2014: Seems legit not"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-image alignnone wp-image-39614 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/seemslegitnot-e1409991399369.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"489\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/seemslegitnot-e1409991399369.jpg 489w, https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/seemslegitnot-e1409991399369-300x137.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 489px) 100vw, 489px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><em>Picture progress notice<\/em><\/strong><em>: Picture processing is complete. \u00a0Rest of the weekend will be spent uploading them, and throughout next week, I will begin posting galleries.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">A long time ago at a previous employer, I had a co-worker that told me the number one culprit on how to identify a fake Louis Vuitton item. \u00a0I&#8217;m not entirely sure how or why it stuck with me, but for whatever reason, it did.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Long story short, the apparent rule of the Louis Vuitton brand is that nowhere on any piece of Louis Vuitton merchandise, is the &#8220;LV&#8221; logo mark is NEVER cut off. \u00a0It cannot be cut off by an edge, a seam, or any sort of fold. \u00a0The LV logomark is 100% intact on 100% of the entire item, or else it&#8217;s\u00a0<em>probably<\/em>\u00a0counterfeit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">For years, I was amazed at how few people knew this, considering how worldly popular Louis Vuitton is, especially amongst the superficial, brand-lusting Asian community. \u00a0I guess it&#8217;s naive of me to think that Asian folks that love brands that symbolize wealth and status would actually know of the things that separate things from being legit or counterfeit, but I&#8217;m apparently wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">My mom once bragged about this Louis Vuitton handbag she got at the Salvation Army for $40. \u00a0One, it was all sorts of colors of the rainbow on white, and I&#8217;m not sure Louis Vuitton does anything that isn&#8217;t their trademark gold and brown. \u00a0Two, I&#8217;m pretty sure a real Louis Vuitton wouldn&#8217;t be sold at a Salvation Army consignment store in the first place. \u00a0And then three, all over the bag, the LVs were cut off like they were thrown around in\u00a0<em>Fruit Ninja<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">She was pretty surprised that I knew this knowledge so readily. \u00a0If she hadn&#8217;t already incredulously asked it in the past already, I&#8217;m sure she probably thinks I&#8217;m gay.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">But anyway, I saw this\u00a0<em>Vuittontrooper<\/em>\u00a0at D*C, and I was pretty amazed at the fact that I couldn&#8217;t find a single cut off LV mark. \u00a0At the time I was examining his armor, I didn&#8217;t find a single one, and it&#8217;s not until I thoroughly searched the photograph did I actually find one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">So yeah, cut off LV mark = fake Vuittontrooper.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Tsk, tsk, tsk. \u00a0Couldn&#8217;t afford the\u00a0<strong><em>real\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Louis Vuitton Stormtrooper armor, brah? \u00a0Do you even lift?<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Picture progress notice: Picture processing is complete. \u00a0Rest of the weekend will be spent uploading them, and throughout next week, I will begin posting galleries.
