{"id":40153,"date":"2015-02-05T22:16:55","date_gmt":"2015-02-06T02:16:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=40153"},"modified":"2020-07-14T22:17:05","modified_gmt":"2020-07-15T02:17:05","slug":"truly-epic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=40153","title":{"rendered":"Truly epic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/MftOONlDQac?controls=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display: inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height: 0;\" class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">I hate to share something that pretty much everyone on the planet is sharing today, but god damn, was I ever a huge <em>Saved by the Bell <\/em>fan, and this skit on the Jimmy Fallon Show was nothing short of genuinely, truly epic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">My knee-jerk reaction was something that my friend Rory pointed out, which was the obvious observation that both Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez have basically taken the same voodoo immortality potion that Angela Bassett had, because neither of them have aged a single day from the last time they played Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">On the other end of the spectrum, god damn, did Dennis Haskins let himself go. He\u2019s quite literally doubled in size from the last time he was Mr. Belding, and it\u2019s rather alarming to see that no matter how authoritative a suit is supposed to look, there\u2019s <em>just so much of it<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Naturally, the absences of Screech and Lisa are prevalent, but there\u2019s no secret in that Dustin Diamond is a crazed sociopath with a martyr complex, and honestly, who really knows what happened to Lark Voorhies?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Jessie clearly takes a beating during the skit, what with the references to her <em>Showgirls<\/em> role, as well as bringing back the always-relevant, cult-like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=bflYjF90t7c\">I\u2019m So Excited<\/a> scene.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Regardless, this was an awesome skit, and definite kudos must go out to Jimmy Fallon for pulling through with this, when it seemed like a passing fluff declaration a few years ago, when he said he wanted to get the band back together.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ufeff I hate to share something that pretty much everyone on the planet is sharing today, but god damn, was I ever a huge Saved by the Bell fan, and this skit on the Jimmy Fallon Show was nothing short of genuinely, truly epic.
