Legion is hurt.\u00a0 Which ship gets Legion to Geth ER the fastest?\u00a0 The Normandy, a Turian envoy or a Quarian vessel?<\/span><\/p>\n Seriously though, as a self-proclaimed typography snob, I simply cannot condone this message by Starbucks, regardless of how much of a slave I am to their product in general.<\/span><\/p>\n I get that creating racial awareness is something that perhaps the world as a whole might benefit from, in spite of how futile I may personally think it is, but I simply loathe when any word has to be broken up in an advertisement, much less\u00a0twice<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Honestly,\u00a0TO-GETH-ER<\/em>?<\/span><\/p>\n Clearly, Starbucks thinks going minimalistic is the key to giving the message precedence, but it\u2019s not like it ever hurts to have your logo slightly more predominant, even if it means increasing the size of message\u2019s type.\u00a0 Instead, by doing nothing other than a 4-2-4-2 letter pattern, I simply can\u2019t get around the fact that it looks like \u201cRace to Geth ER.\u201d\u00a0 Those bigot Quarians clearly have been fucking around with the Geth again.<\/span><\/p>\n As for the message and objective of this whole campaign, there\u2019s really not much to say about it, other than the fact that I feel that there\u2019s a little bit of exploitation of an attempt to advertise under false pretenses just a teensy bit.<\/span><\/p>\n However, I guess it\u2019s not necessarily that great, because I think I\u2019d be ironically amused if the next time I order a drink, \u201cRACE TOGETHER\u201d is written on my cup.\u00a0 If it turns out that I\u2019m the only minority in the establishment present when this occurs with a message on my cup, there might be some vitriolic snark incoming, but I\u2019m outright refusing the drink and demanding a new one if they dare put a god damn hashtag on it.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Legion is hurt.\u00a0 Which ship gets Legion to Geth ER the fastest?\u00a0 The Normandy, a Turian envoy or a Quarian vessel?
