Impetus<\/a>: semi-truck carrying over 400 hives and nearly 14 million bees crashes and rolls on Interstate 5, in a town north of Seattle; bees get everywhere.<\/span><\/p>\n Good god almighty, this is pretty much the worst thing ever.\u00a0 Thank god that this did not occur in Georgia, on the same I-285\/I-20 ramp that has derailed trucks carrying beer, eggs and chickens on separate instances, because knowing the Metro Atlanta area, it would somehow end up closed highways, crippled traffic, and several violent incidents with at least three fatalities involving police being accused of shooting black people.<\/span><\/p>\n But seriously, imagine driving down the road, and passing through a literal cloud of bees, and they get sucked into your air filter, pop out of your vents and into your vehicle, and start stinging you?\u00a0 Needless to say, this scenario is the perfect time to drop the\u00a0Tommy Boy BEES video clip<\/a>, which is totally relevant.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Really though, I\u2019m actually a little disheartened by this story, because ultimately, a whole bunch of bees had to be killed in order to restore some order, because\u00a0bees being bees<\/a>, they attack indiscriminately, because they were startled and jarred and shit.\u00a0 It\u2019s not their fault that the truck crashed, and they\u2019re suddenly agitated and free, when had the delivery been successful, they would\u2019ve been relocated to some blueberry farm, where they would\u2019ve peacefully pollenated plants and made sweet succulent honey.<\/span><\/p>\n Regardless, better this happening in Seattle than in Atlanta, because it probably would\u2019ve been 9,000 times worse here than over there.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Impetus: semi-truck carrying over 400 hives and nearly 14 million bees crashes and rolls on Interstate 5, in a town north of Seattle; bees get everywhere.
