I\u2019m not one to often denigrate my own brog of high integrity content like League of Legends, professional wrestling and social commentary about Atlanta by posting shit about stupid Hollywood drivel, but sometimes the media saturates the air\/data(?) waves with the same shit that it\u2019s simply impossible to ignore.<\/span><\/p>\n Ultimately, I end up hating the media, but the media is kind of this necessary evil, and ultimately, I like to\u00a0attempt\u00a0<\/em>to be somewhat informed and current in the things that are happening at a local, national and worldly level in that particular order, so I still peek and seek out the news, regardless of how much I would rather be blind to everything and hope it doesn\u2019t impact my daily life.<\/span><\/p>\n But anyway, unless you live under a rock, and I\u2019m not even sure someone wouldn\u2019t seek out and unearth your rock just to make sure that absolutely everyone was aware, but Charlie Sheen has been outed to be HIV-positive. \u00a0Basically, Charlie Sheen has AIDS.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n My knee jerk reaction is \u201cbig fucking deal,\u201d because I think the world has larger things to concern themselves about like, oh, the terrorists who assaulted Paris, and the ensuing fallout of an impending war again, and because really, I don\u2019t really give a shit about Charlie Sheen.<\/span><\/p>\n Frankly, I don\u2019t understand how he\u2019s still relevant in the world; whenever I think of Charlie Sheen, the only things I think about are\u00a0Two and A Half Men<\/em>, which I never watched, and the\u00a0Major League<\/em>\u00a0films, which were almost 20 years ago.\u00a0 Seriously, coming out and acting crazy and spouting a bunch of lame narcissistic catchphrases is all it took for him to become immortalized?\u00a0 Is that how stupid people really are?<\/span><\/p>\n Anyway, here are the facts that I have surmised from the information that\u2019s publicly available\u00a0all over<\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0web\u00a0<\/a>and major\u00a0news outlets<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n *possibly opinion, not entirely untrue facts<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n The most fascinating thing about this whole reveal is the way the media is treating it; it\u2019s like every person, every outlet, every affiliation, there\u2019s what we all like to declare \u201cleans,\u201d as in what kind of perspective do they lean towards.\u00a0 I don\u2019t particularly like to declare that I\u2019m solely on one side between the left and the right, but I know that I have a tendency to lean towards the left when it comes to some equality issues in the world, but I\u2019ve also been told that I have some fairly right-leaning ideals.\u00a0 Ultimately, that\u2019s kind of how I would like to be, because frankly I\u2019d rather not be pigeonholed into one set of beliefs, at least without not taking a second to consider both sides.<\/span><\/p>\n That being said, it\u2019s interesting seeing how CNN tries is hardest to remain neutral, but there\u2019s a slight hint of left leaning going on.\u00a0 Naturally, FOX News doesn\u2019t even really try to hide the right-leaning disgust with Sheen\u2019s actions, and I think I\u2019m inclined to side with them on this one, because it\u2019s fucking deplorable that Sheen has remained sexually free-wheeling and lethally reckless and has probably exposed hundreds of women to HIV.<\/span><\/p>\n But the most mind-blowing thing I\u2019ve read in regards to this is\u00a0from the Huffington Post<\/a>; basically a plea for sympathy towards the fact that he has HIV and that the stigma against HIV is ugly.<\/span><\/p>\n For starters, Charlie Sheen is the absolute worst guy to try and use to champion this agenda to garner sympathy for those with HIV.\u00a0 Charlie Sheen wasn\u2019t a guy who contracted HIV, and upon finding out, completely went transparent and that everyone he bedded knew about it before they let him stick his dick into them.\u00a0 No, this is a guy who has admitted to spending\u00a0millions<\/em>\u00a0of dollars to hush people about his HIV.\u00a0 This was a guy who simply did not give a fuck and was a hedonistically selfish asshole who valued his own pleasure over the\u00a0lives<\/em>\u00a0of other women.<\/span><\/p>\n This<\/em>\u00a0is not the person you want trying to break the HIV stigma.<\/span><\/p>\n The guy who wrote this is the gay voices editor for HuffPo, and naturally he tries to swing the story into an agenda about how HIV was\u00a0once<\/em>\u00a0perceived as the gay plague.\u00a0 Sorry, it\u2019s not 1992 anymore, and people of all genders and sexual orientation have contracted HIV since then, and sorry that you waited 20 years to hop aboard this soapbox only to find that it\u2019s rotten and can\u2019t hold weight anymore.<\/span><\/p>\n Charlie Sheen is entitled to medical privacy sure, but at the same time NOT informing his alleged hundreds of sexual partners that he has HIV before having unprotected sex with them is pretty much criminal.\u00a0 Seriously, people have been sent to prison for exactly the same thing, with the only difference being that they were not Charlie Sheen, or anyone remotely famous.<\/span><\/p>\n I agree that people with HIV shouldn\u2019t be treated like criminals;
