Impetus<\/a>: Georgia governor Nathan Deal officially vetoes House Bill 859, AKA bill that would have allowed for legal right to carry concealed weapons on public school campuses.<\/span><\/p>\n Combined with the recent vetoing of HB 757<\/a>, Nathan Deal is coming out looking like a fucking superhero, to those with common sense, and to those, with brains.<\/span><\/p>\n Given the fact that he\u2019s Republican, and should be characterized by conservative thinking and led by the book of Jesusland, he\u2019s either secretly still the Democrat he once was, or taking part in a blatantly elaborate song-and-dance routine where he snuffs out no-brainer oppressive and discriminatory bills to appease the Democrats, while declaring himself a Republican to appease the conservatives.<\/span><\/p>\n Yeah, no shit it\u2019s a horrible idea to let gun owners carry their firearms onto college campuses.\u00a0 I don\u2019t even need to write out a bunch of doomsday scenarios that I\u2019ve already written out before to explain why.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Either way, I\u2019m pretty much now convinced that Nathan Deal is basically orchestrating some sort of scheme where all these horrible bills are concocted by delegates, rise to the magnitude where they hoover in controversy and notoriety, only for him to personally squash them and look like some sort of forward-thinking super politician hero.\u00a0 Wash, rinse, repeat.<\/span><\/p>\n Now that bills that threatened the gays and threatened college students have been dealt with, I wonder what\u2019s going to be next?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019m going to guess\u2026 that there will be a house bill that declares black people can\u2019t use the interstates in Georgia, that will actually pass and make it to the governor\u2019s desk, before Nathan Deal will snuff that one out too, and make himself look like a hero to the black community; probably around the time when reelection is near.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Impetus: Georgia governor Nathan Deal officially vetoes House Bill 859, AKA bill that would have allowed for legal right to carry concealed weapons on public school campuses.
