{"id":42438,"date":"2016-06-16T23:05:02","date_gmt":"2016-06-17T03:05:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=42438"},"modified":"2020-07-20T23:05:14","modified_gmt":"2020-07-21T03:05:14","slug":"when-in-doubt-al-always-saves-the-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=42438","title":{"rendered":"When in doubt, Al always saves the day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-image alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/bundy_hammer.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"363\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Even 19 years since the last episode of Married\u2026 With Children aired, Al Bundy Ed O\u2019Neill still comes out to save the day, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/entry\/ed-oneill-shoots-down-married-with-children-reunion-rumors_us_5761b57de4b09c926cfe076e?section=\">debunking the momentum gathering rumor<\/a> that there was going to be a spinoff show, helmed by Bud Bundy David Faustino.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Thank the lord.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">A MWC spinoff sounded as good of an idea as <a href=\"http:\/\/clatl.com\/freshloaf\/archives\/2016\/06\/15\/streetcar-shutdown-called-off-andnbspfor-at-least-10-days\">the Atlanta Streetcar<\/a>, which is to say completely terrible and a perfectly good waste of resources and time.\u00a0 Especially with the extra intel that Al had shared during a recent interview:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Al and Peg are in Vegas \u2014 they won the lottery.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Did Bud forget that the Bundys never win anything?\u00a0 I know it\u2019s a conveniently easy way to write them out from having to be mainstays on the show, but Al Bundy winning in Vegas is only possible if by some unfortunate happenstance, he immediately loses it on account of like a malfunctioned slot machine or a corrupt dealer or something, and then the entire Bundy family goes back to Illinois like the losers they are, but as an intact family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Jesus, did the MWC legacy dodge a true bullet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">There\u2019s no way Bud could carry the show, and a premise of him living with his ex-wife would lead to more uncomfortable situation than comedy, and the insertion of a best friend which he never had one of in MWC reeks of a Fuller BlouseHouse forcing of another character.\u00a0 Cameos, would be the one thing viewers would look forward to, and if the legacy characters\u00a0 are on too often, then they\u2019re cast and not cameo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Lora; font-size: 12pt;\">Good thing Al Bundy decided to come out of the woodwork to debunk this horrifying rumor from gaining any more steam and potentially becoming a terrible reality.\u00a0 After nearly 20 years, scoring four touchdowns in a single game can take a backseat for a day, to Al saving all MWC fans from a terrible idea.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even 19 years since the last episode of Married\u2026 With Children aired, Al Bundy Ed O\u2019Neill still comes out to save the day, debunking the momentum gathering rumor that there was going to be a spinoff show, helmed by Bud Bundy David Faustino.
