TL:DR<\/a> \u2013 Overrated quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers refuses to stand for the United States national anthem, citing racial injustice<\/span><\/p>\n I\u2019ve never been a Colin Kaepernick fan.\u00a0 I thought his \u2018kiss the bicep\u2019 touchdown celebration was silly for a guy that had arms thinner than spaghetti, and felt that there was something of an ego problem with the guy.\u00a0 But I\u2019m also smart enough to recognize the talent that he harnesses, and the absurd 2012 playoff run, where Kaepernick single-handedly put the entire team on his back and practically carried them all the way to a Super Bowl victory.\u00a0 However, it didn\u2019t mean I had to respect the guy, I just didn\u2019t ever like the guy.<\/span><\/p>\n But now, Kaepernick\u2019s refusal to stand for the National Anthem, that\u2019s a legitimate reason to call him a piece of shit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Colin Kaepernick is a piece of shit.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n It\u2019s like a giant situation of a bunch of wrongs not making a right.\u00a0 The actions of a few turn into a gigantic blanket statement that shithead uses to justify his reason to disrespect an entire country; the one he belongs to.\u00a0 And the fact that he cites racial injustice is kind of laughable to me, because the insinuation is that it\u2019s solely white people who are being accused of oppressing black people and people of color (in that order).\u00a0 And sure, yes, white cops are far too often being the ones pulling the triggers or registering the beatdowns, but look no further than the case of Freddie Gray, where three of the accused police officers<\/a> were black!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n If you ask me, this is all kind of reeks of an attention-getting ploy for Kaepernick.\u00a0 Ultimately, professional sports are all about exposure and making brands and keeping spotlights, because all of the superficial above eventually can become profitable.\u00a0 Kaepernick hasn\u2019t been nearly as star-powerful since 2012, and has been gradually been getting worse as is often times the case with football players, because it\u2019s a physically demanding game that shortens lifespans, undoubtedly.\u00a0 The last few years have been especially bad for him, as he lost his starting job last year.\u00a0 A shithead like Kaepernick desperately needs to get the spotlight back onto him, by any means necessary.<\/span><\/p>\n No easier way to do that than going full dark side, and turning heel on the country, I suppose.\u00a0 Now just like that, tons of people, myself included, bit the bait and are now talking about him.\u00a0 Even if he is a piece of shit.\u00a0 But pieces of shit are also the same kinds of people who love to boast that \u201call exposure is good exposure,\u201d and as long as eyes are on him, he\u2019s free to take the stage and try to remind people that he might not be a shitty quarterback.<\/span><\/p>\n I don\u2019t disagree that discrimination is undoubtedly bigger than football.\u00a0 In fact, there are tons of things that are bigger than football.\u00a0 The presidential race, fuel prices, diplomatic affairs.\u00a0 Depending on whom you ask, things like what I\u2019m going to eat for dinner, or when I should find the time to do my laundry are bigger than football.\u00a0 Football, as lucrative of a hustle it is, is not at all necessary for the function of the world to continue.\u00a0 The entire sport can vanish tomorrow, and the world will continue to spin without interruption.<\/span><\/p>\n But back to the point, discrimination is bigger than football, but as long as you\u2019re an American, it is not bigger than the flag.\u00a0 Few things actually are, especially a piece of shit like Colin Kaepernick and his pursuit of attention by any means necessary.\u00a0 I\u2019ve always rooted against the 49ers against most teams, but now I want them to lose every fucking game.\u00a0 I\u2019d even root for the Ravens, Eagles or Cowboys against them, and I really don\u2019t like those fucking teams.\u00a0 But there\u2019s no way I\u2019d want a shithead like Colin Kaepernick to get anything
