SSDD<\/a>: Black Lives Matter organizers to protest, over an incident with the police that resulted in a black woman arrested with a broken jaw<\/span><\/p>\n

From that much of a description, it sounds like some sort of unjust police brutality, doesn\u2019t it?\u00a0 Yeah, but that\u2019s only part of a story where only part of the picture is painted.\u00a0 Yet, the rest of the picture is basically explained, but it doesn\u2019t change the fact that BLM still insists on conducting yet another protest.<\/span><\/p>\n

Long story short, woman is caught by the police smoking pot with a friend.\u00a0 They even admit that they were doing smoking pot.\u00a0 Officers search the car and find more pot, and then decide to arrest the woman and her friend.\u00a0 Woman resists arrest, wrenches back and slugs an officer in the face.\u00a0 Officer then responds to force with force, slugs the woman, and completes the arrest.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Although not stated, the woman is arrested for probably drug use in a public place, possession of drugs, resisting arrest, and physically assaulting a police officer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe slugging the woman to where her jaw breaks might have been a little bit harsh, but in the heat of the moment dealing with a baked individual, shit sometimes happens.\u00a0 When she strikes first, I can\u2019t say that I blame any person for instantaneous retaliation.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, because she\u2019s black, BLM gets involved, and suddenly this turns into a racial issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m sorry, it wouldn\u2019t have mattered if this perp were a white guy, a Hispanic woman or an Asian male.\u00a0 Getting busted with pot and attacking a police officer would get any one of those demographics struck and arrested too.<\/span><\/p>\n

At some point, BLM organizers have to stop and look at the context of stories like this and think \u201chm, you know what, maybe protesting because so-and-so was being a dumbass might not be the best idea for our group,\u201d because the arrest had absolutely nothing to do with race, and everything to do with the actions and poor choices of a flamboyant drug user.\u00a0 But instead, a bunch of people are going to stand outside and clog up roads and draw all sorts of questionable attention, because they\u2019re too blinded by the need to wield the race card and pushing an agenda that they can\u2019t see the context of the story to know they\u2019re holding a futile protest.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
