It\u2019s not lost on me that it\u2019s been a minute since I last wrote anything.\u00a0 And among the last things that I did write about, it was probably sports and or professional wrestling-related in the first place, and admittedly I don\u2019t like to stick to the same topic too frequently because I like the idea of being a well-rounded person who has thoughts, opinions and words to write about a myriad of things and not just a small pool of interests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sure, a part of the dormancy is the fact that I haven\u2019t really found much to write about, but also the fact that in my work and personal lives, I\u2019ve actually been kind of busy.\u00a0\u00a0 Not a day goes by where there isn\u2019t some local news that isn\u2019t violent and could easily be twisted into a racial commentary, and there\u2019s otherwise little else locally to talk about other than the impending Republican runoff for governor that I\u2019ve already said numerous things about.<\/span><\/p>\n

My taxes are going up in the upcoming fiscal year, which isn\u2019t a surprise that the primary culprit of it all is the Atlanta Braves, which is something that most everyone with a brain saw coming, seeing as how the construction of ScumTrust Park and The Battery was a gigantic money suck to state and county coffers that is naturally the unfortunate responsibility of taxpayers.\u00a0 Obviously, I\u2019m a little salty over the fact that my monthly rates will go up, but at the same time, I\u2019m okay with it if it means that things like parks and libraries aren\u2019t shut down and rendered inaccessible services to the people. \u00a0Granted, I\u2019d rather the Braves never moved in the first place and this wouldn\u2019t have happened, but I don\u2019t have the completed Infinity Gauntlet in my possession, so I can\u2019t go back in time to rectify that.<\/span><\/p>\n

By the way, I actually caught up and watched Avengers: Infinity War<\/em>, which is in large part to making this reference.\u00a0 It was slightly better than I had anticipated, because I felt there was a high possibility of them fucking things up by having to cram so much crossing over into a singular film, that it could convolute things real fast, but I didn\u2019t think they did a bad job, and put out a pretty decent flick.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main reason why I\u2019ve fallen behind on writing lately is that aside from work, my life outside of work has been pretty busy over the span of the last month or so.\u00a0 Obviously because I\u2019m still offline, nobody but me is ever going to read this until I get shit up online one day so I can say it without repercussion, but I\u2019ve been doing things around the house to surprise mythical gf for when she gets back from being abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Namely, I\u2019m redoing the master bathroom in my house, primarily by painting it.\u00a0 The colors that they came in were a little gaudy and not quite necessarily what either of us really would have wanted, but in her absence, I\u2019ve taken the liberties to repainting the entire room from top to bottom, from walls to baseboards and trim.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t sound like that big of a deal, but having painted the vast majority of my house mostly by myself, I\u2019ve gotten to the point where I absolutely abhor the act of painting, and if the cost of hiring people to do it for me weren\u2019t so absurdly disproportionate to doing it myself, I\u2019d probably prefer getting punched in the dick ten times over doing any painting.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I\u2019m doing it anyway, which I hope goes to show how much I care about mythical gf, and I certainly hope that she recognizes the effort as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also, I\u2019ve been doing a laundry list of little things around the house like patching up blemishes and repainting scuffs or drywall tears, or any of the little things that occurred a year ago that I\u2019d said I\u2019d take care of, but never did until recently.\u00a0 And although I\u2019m pretty sure I talked about it in my post about how it\u2019s been a year since I moved in, but the air conditioning in my house has been completely replaced, and it\u2019s absolutely amazing that for the first time since moving in, I\u2019ve actually got really functional and outstanding air conditioning in the house, and it\u2019s making life so much better this hot summer.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I\u2019m done now with the painting, and like 80% of the projects that I wanted to do while mythical gf is away.\u00a0 I still have one last task that I\u2019d like to complete, but it\u2019s contingent on the delivery of the key component, and hoping that it arrives earlier than its estimated delivery date, so that I can get it up and installed prior to her return.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless, with the major project that I wanted to do now done, I feel like I can actually relax some before she gets back.\u00a0 Because as you may or may not know, relaxation is a talent that I have zero of, and as long as I\u2019ve felt like there was something I should be doing, I had to be doing them or working towards them, but now that I\u2019ve accomplished most of my goals, I might actually be able to relax for the next week.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019d like to catch up on some movies and television that I feel like I\u2019ve been falling behind on, and with most of my projects out of the way now, hopefully I\u2019ll be able to sit back and actually enjoy them.\u00a0 And in other non-screen free time, maybe I\u2019ll find some crap that I\u2019d like to write about, and get back to some semblance of some consistent writing too.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
