{"id":46986,"date":"2020-06-29T09:53:25","date_gmt":"2020-06-29T13:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=46986"},"modified":"2020-08-14T09:53:43","modified_gmt":"2020-08-14T13:53:43","slug":"life-always-finds-a-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/totfc.net\/?p=46986","title":{"rendered":"Life always finds a way"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-image alignnone wp-image-46989 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_6559.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_6559.jpg 510w, https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_6559-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Groggily, I went outside with my dog, so that I could try to see if he would poop.\u00a0 Being 14-15 years old, his pooping schedule changes on a dime, and it\u2019s among the most frustrating things in the world when he goes stretches of 36+ hours between poops, and I have no idea when to expect him needing to go again.\u00a0 It was 7 a.m.-something, which meant all the grass would be wet and dewy and I don\u2019t like to get my feet wet, but I had just cut it the day prior, so perhaps it wouldn\u2019t be so terrible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">As we walked through the field next to my driveway, I spotted something out of the ordinary not far from us: a turtle.\u00a0 It looked like a box turtle, which meant that it was mostly harmless, unlike their prehistoric cousins, the snapping turtle.\u00a0 But it doesn\u2019t matter if you\u2019re eight or 38, if there\u2019s a turtle out in the wild, it\u2019s worth checking out, so I went over to it just so I could snap a picture of it and show mythical wife later on when she woke up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-image alignnone wp-image-46987 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_0726.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_0726.jpg 510w, https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_0726-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">After taking the first picture, I thought hm, maybe I should try from the other side, so there\u2019s no big fat shadow cast over it, so I walked to the opposite side of the turtle, and that\u2019s when I noticed that it wasn\u2019t just a turtle, but it was two turtles\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-image alignnone wp-image-46988 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_3945.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"296\" srcset=\"https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_3945.jpg 510w, https:\/\/totfc.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/IMG_3945-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 510px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Yup, they were having sex.\u00a0 Right in the middle of a big grassy field, one turtle mounted right on top of the other.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Well, after getting photographic evidence of the tryst, I let them be;
