Today, mythical wife and I went out so she could find some holiday decorations for the house.\u00a0 As it is our child\u2019s first holiday season, she felt it was important that we make the house somewhat festive and relevant to the seasons, and I\u2019m okay with that idea.<\/span><\/p>\n

While we were driving to our destination, you\u2019d think there was no pandemic still going on, based on just how slam-packed the shopping centers and surrounding streets were.\u00a0 Parking lots getting backed up, because the access roads were being congested by the volume of cars getting stuck at lights, causing this colossal domino effect of typical traffic that I\u2019m appalled but not surprised is going on given the whole pandemic thing that\u2019s supposed to be encouraging people to be staying home when necessary, but we are in the midst of the holiday shopping season, and coronavirus or no, people are absolutely out and about.<\/span><\/p>\n

When we got to the store, naturally my daughter shit her pants in the car, as is the usual routine, and it seems apparent that for the first years of her life while she\u2019s still in diapers, that I\u2019ll have to build in an extra ten minutes to any car ride at all, to account for the inevitable deuce that happens like clockwork whenever we go anywhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

But anyway, when we got to the store, it took all of five seconds of being inside of it, did I spot the first no-maskers milling about, acting like nothing at all was wrong with \u2018Murica and the air they breathed was as clean and pure as it probably is at the highest altitudes of the Appalachian trail.\u00a0 Not long afterward, their shithead sons joined them, also wearing no masks, and the feeling of disgust immediately began bubbling up within me.<\/span><\/p>\n

And while we were there, this one family was hardly the only cluster of people not wearing masks, and I saw several other individuals and families also shopping sans masks.\u00a0 The ones that bothered me more than the no-maskers were the people who were wearing masks; around their necks as not on their fucking faces, obviously having said \u201cI wore my mask to avoid scrutiny coming in, but now that I am inside, off with it until I\u2019m reprimanded.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

I know it sounds terrible, but the thought that swirled in my head repeatedly was that I genuinely hoped, that every single one of these arrogant no-maskers, would get coronavirus.\u00a0 I understand that such is almost akin to wishing death on some people, which is something that I\u2019d rather directly not do, but the blissful arrogance and stupidity of all these people just piss me off and make me wish terrible things like this, and make me realize that I should just probably stop leaving the house for non-essential trips anymore, because the mere sight of no-maskers just makes me think really dark things.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s like people with brains have been saying for months, it\u2019s not that fucking difficult to wear a fucking mask.\u00a0 It\u2019s not so much the protection for yourself as much as it is a simple gesture of concern and compassion for your fellow people, that you care<\/em> about their well-being as much as they want to protect themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

When people deliberately choose to go around without masks, they\u2019re basically saying fuck you<\/em> to me and everyone else, because either they think they\u2019re so invincible and that coronavirus is some media-created hoax, or they are so selfishly concerned about their own personal freedom, that they choose to jeopardize the lives of everyone around them.<\/span><\/p>\n

The bottom line is that it\u2019s disrespectful, and I don\u2019t need that kind of disrespect towards me in my life, because all it does it piss me off, disgust me that I have to exist in close enough proximity to these shitheads and reiterate all the nihilistic thoughts I have about \u2018Murican culture and how there is so very much such a thing as too much freedom.\u00a0 And then it makes me all disappointed in being out of the house and put into the mindset that I need to take my wife and child home as soon as possible, to get out of the cesspool of, being out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seriously, it\u2019s days like today where I wonder why I bothered going out in the first place.\u00a0 Just about everything is available for delivery these days, and not only can everything get simply sent directly to my home, then I wouldn\u2019t also be exposed to all the assholes out there who think they\u2019re too good or too free to have to wear a fucking mask and do everyone else a favor.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
