When Seth Rollins began calling himself \u201cthe Drip God,\u201d I was curious, but didn\u2019t really think anything of it.\u00a0 <\/span>Then, on an episode of My 600 Lb. Life<\/i> the blob of the week\u2019s son was wearing a shirt that just said DRIP on it, and it jogged my memory that I was curious.<\/span><\/p>\n I asked mythical wife if she knew, since she works with kids every day, that she might have picked up on some of their slang, but she didn\u2019t really have any idea either.<\/span><\/p>\n So it was off to Google to find the answer for me, and I discovered that it was, of course, coined by some of today\u2019s (c)rappers, and it\u2019s to describe what used to be classy, swag, or just plain stylish in layman\u2019s terms.\u00a0 <\/span>Sure, it makes not an iota of sense to me, and sounds fucking dumb, but at least I knew the general context of what the kids are calling drip these days.<\/span><\/p>\n But that\u2019s when I realized just how much of an old man moment I just had, being so out of touch with new slang, that I had resorted to Googling it, in order to find out.\u00a0 <\/span>Given its general idea and origins I kind of wish I hadn\u2019t, but when the day is over, I\u2019d rather be in the know than not, even if it\u2019s subjecting myself to stupid trash slang.\u00a0 <\/span>I guess that kind of mentality is prolonging the inevitable aging and separating from the generations beyond mine, no matter how in touch I may or may not try to be.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" When Seth Rollins began calling himself \u201cthe Drip God,\u201d I was curious, but didn\u2019t really think anything of it.\u00a0 Then, on an episode of My 600 Lb.
