This is actually logically brilliant

I don’t like to give credit to the Chinese too often, but from a logic standpoint, I have to say that this father came up with an absolutely brilliant idea: hire ringers to target, harass and deter his deadbeat son from playing an online video game.

I really do believe it’s brilliant.  Kids are such retards these days that any attempt to deter them from doing what they like by methods such as lecture, nagging, or straight up restriction would probably lead to a rebellious reaction to where their desire to do these things just to piss you off in addition to doing what they like.  But in the case of a game addict, by essentially attempting to make the game no fun for him seems to be more of an effective method to breaking the game’s hold over the player; when a game is so difficult to overcome, eventually it will become un-fun to the point where it’s not worth playing anymore.

Professional gamers LOL

One thing that has been absolutely hilarious to me lately is the raging that people do when it comes to arguing over professional gamers as if they were professional athletes. The story is a little old now, but about a month or so ago, there was a “professional” League of Legends player who was given a one-year ban for being what most 22-year old mouth-breathing internet-dwelling socially inept male virgin gamers are: a dick. In the midst of this all, there’s a pathetic little internet verbal battle royale about how it’s right, how it’s wrong, and then there are the people that just show up to troll for the sake of trolling and other dickish behavior because most of the people involved in these barbs are just like the guy that was banned in the first place: dicks.

Throughout all of this, I can’t help but take some steps back and look at the scenario in context: many people arguing over the banning of a guy who plays video games that managed to go so overboard with his toxic conduct to where someone of authority actually did something about it.

Take a few steps more back: many people are arguing over a kid who plays video games.

I don’t get you people sometimes

Back in 2007, pro-wrestler Chris Benoit was discovered dead, along with his wife and his son.  Immediately afterward, the WWE broke all storylines for one night, and put together an entire tribute show for Chris Benoit and his family, where there were some great matches, but most notably an array of tear-filled, emotional outpourings of interviews of Benoit’s fellow wrestlers sharing touching stories and memories of their fallen comrade.

Days later, it was revealed that it wasn’t an attack on the family by a second party that ended up with the Benoit family dead; it was Chris Benoit himself, who had murdered his wife and his son, before hanging himself.  Suddenly, all of the RIPs to Chris Benoit were rescinded, the WWE did everything they could to break association with Chris Benoit, and wrestlers everywhere expressed emotions of betrayal, disappointment and disgusted sadness at the guy they all thought they once knew.

It wasn’t really “rest in peace” anymore, as much as it was “good riddance, you fucking murderer.”

Recently, a player on the Kansas City Chefs, Jovan Belcher, murdered his girlfriend and mother of their three-month old child, and then killed himself.  This has all been confirmed and is all fact at this point – Jovan Belcher was a murderer before he killed himself.

So why the fuck are so many people bidding him to rest in peace?  The guy is a fucking murderer, and fellow football players, and people all over twitter are wishing him the same farewell, reserved for people who live their lives honorably, or at least without committing murder?

This is now how it was supposed to end

The Atlanta Braves have been knocked out of the playoffs twelve times since 1995. The fact that they made it to the playoffs in twelve of the last seventeen years is impressive in its own right, but still, zero championships in that span.  Needless to say, seeing the Braves get bounced from the playoffs is truly nothing new or out of the ordinary for a Braves fan.  At least until the events of the 2012 season came along.

This was truly, the worst defeat I’ve ever seen in my entire, baseball-watching life.

To those of my three regular readers that might be tiring of how much I’ve been writing about baseball lately, you’re in luck.  Frankly, after this, I don’t really feel like writing about any more baseball, on my personal site, for a long while.

Fuck Comcast

They’ve fucked up my home phone somehow and in a completely unrelated occurrence, happened to fuck up my home internet in the process. I am too tired and stressed agitated to deal with this after being up since 4 am, but I am ready to raise hell if their constant fuck ups have fried my router. But until then, no LoL or internet at home. Fuck Comcast.

I don’t really wish ill will onto others that often

Contrary to popular belief, I know.  But really, when the days are over, I don’t really want to see anyone get severely hurt or anything.

I’m in a pretty upset mood tonight, and not because the Braves got owned like slavery were legal again, anything work-related, or something trite like that.  I’m upset because I saw a person on the road whom while in front of me, I witnessed as they applied their brakes, and took great care and effort into running over a dead animal on the road.

Honestly, if it were a squirrel or possum, or another common varmint-type of animal, I would have been disturbed by the careful effort in running it over, but the size and fur color of the already-dead roadkill was most definitely a dog.  And the fact that this piece of shit deliberately ran it over, bothered me immensely.  Even he had to know based on the size of the roadkill, that this was no common rodent.  But this waste of human space slowed down, leading me to believe that he was going to turn left or something coming up, but then I saw as he veered slightly, before seeing the carcass being flung upward a few inches after the impact.  I winced as I passed it between my tires, and watched as this asshole in the Yukon proceeded forward.
