But fuck traffic, fuck Georgia Tech, fuck midtown, fuck Atlanta. Fuck PowerPoint. Fuck speed bumps. Today has been fucking infuriating. Fuck.

Is it really that difficult
Three times out of four, whenever someone asks me to look at their computer, because there’s something that feels wrong, one of the first things I notice is that their virus protection is out of date, and/or there are critical Windows updates that have gone completely neglected, many of which involve important listed security updates.
Two times out of two, when it pertains to my parents, the neglect has gone way too long, and both machines are plagued with viruses, and/or rootkits that have run so rampant, that they’re pretty much doing their usual pain-in-the-ass job and preventing any scans from running, let alone detecting them.
At the rate things are going now, the game I want to go see tonight will be canceled by rain, the Braves will lose both games to the Mets, I’ll have a hellacious time trying to get back to Atlanta, and my new car will have a window smashed, doors keyed, be on blocks, and radio ripped out.
Since I can’t really email this back to them
Hey Danny,
I was actually going to let you know we had someone start this week. I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you. We would certainly love to have you temp with us again. We are very busy these day so hopefully I will see you soon!
I was actually going to let you know.
Bullshit you were. This was in response to me sending a follow-up email.
I’m sorry it didn’t work out for you.
No you’re not. I hope the cheaper alternative to hiring me sucks a fat fucking cock. You had a lot more leverage than you thought you did, and I am fairly certain you could have gotten me hired.
We would certainly love to have you temp with us again. We are very busy these day so hopefully I will see you soon!
This makes one of us.
If taking a temp job for 1-5 business days puts me in a situation where I’ll never get to be hired by a company because I’ve got a finder’s fee attached to me for a day’s worth of work, I may have to start refusing short jobs.
Rejection, I can handle. But not getting a job I was more than qualified for, because of a finder’s fee, and the people that could have gotten me hired too fucking lazy to vouch for me does infuriate me. Not to mention being a scenario where I couldn’t even speak to deciding parties to try and figure something out on my own is bullshit too.
Sweet merciful lord it’s finally fucking done
Literally ten full hours after arriving to the shop, my car was finished. The shop obviously knew I was salivating at the opportunity to rip some new ass holes to anyone who honestly thought I was going to pay the full cost of the repairs, and provided almost zero resistance to when I explained to them in a cold, anger-filled tone, that I was not happy with the way things went. Unlike many people who drop their cars off, have a family member or close friend pick them up, do their merry little shit, and then returned when beckoned, this is a luxury that I do not have. Why I should be penalized for lackadaisical work, and literally my entire functional day wasted was not an option I was going to accept.
7:25 a.m. – Arrival, explanation of problem (bearings or CV axle/joint/boot)
9:20 a.m. – Car actually goes in
1:15 p.m. – I inquire to find out that my rotors have been machined despite them not likely being the problem
1:43 p.m. – Problem found (bearings, like I suspected)
5:25 p.m. – Car fixed
Ten hours. They offered me $70 off of what would have been roughly close to $600 with the taxes and egregious labor factored in. I insisted on an even $100. I may be pissed, and actually want the service done completely gratis, but I’m also not illogical, and I know these people need to pay bills too. So in the end, it’s $400+ but at least the horrendous grinding sound is gone (for now). I won’t stop clenching my anoos for at least seven days, since with the Lemon, there’s always the propensity that a follow-up problem must occur.
Regardless, my weekend’s been a wash. Sundays don’t count to me, and my Saturday has thoroughly been ruined. Instead of going to karaoke tonight, since my financial rectum is bleeding, I think I’m going to stay home and watch some fucking Caribbean baseball instead.
Warning, this is a post of pure anger
It’s the wheel bearing. Like I said I thought it was. Why it required SIX GOD DAMN FUCKING HOURS to diagnose is completely beyond me. Unfortunately, it’s both wheel bearings. Including the one I had replaced back 8-9 months ago. Total estimated cost: $495 plus whatever tax. Considering the MSRP of the bearings alone is around $70-90 depending on whom you ask, I’m getting raped up the ass in labor costs, because the estimated time is three hours. THREE FUCKING MORE HOURS i’ve been here since seven fucking thirty this morning fuck i’m so mad i’m dizzy right now.
SkyNet really does exist

But it’s not like in Terminator, where they want to end all of humanity. Instead, SkyNet is content to just make the lives of humankind as miserable and annoyance-filled as possible. The thing is, nobody knows this, but they don’t really go by the name of “SkyNet.” They go by “traffic lights,” and their goal in their artificial lives is to piss off humanity as much as they can. They’re sadistic like that, and it really is much quite worse. Killing humans at least puts them out of their misery; stopping them at each and every fucking intersection known to man is a much more aggravating and painstaking endeavor.
Suffice to say, nothing sours my mood faster than driving on a country-back road/parkway, that actually has lighted intersections. Even more so, when the SkyNets at all of them are programmed to be as beneficial as possible to opposing traffic, and as misery-inducing and pain in the ass for major traffic. I got stopped at eleven out of twelve SkyNets on my way home from running errands. After a while, I began dreading seeing friendly SkyNets, because that just meant they were going to turn heel on me as I approached. At least the evil SkyNets, I knew were already on their upswing of turning good again. Hence, the motivation to vent my frustrations on the internets where nobody is bound to see them.
Seriously though, just having gotten nice, fresh-new tires, and got my brakes all smoothed out and working great again, nothing is more rage producing than having to be on roads that let you get to the vehicul’s top speed, only for you to approach an intersection coming at 55-65 mph, for the light to turn yellow at the precise distance where you know you won’t be able to beat it without triggering any cameras, or command the attention of any police that happen to be present, so you’re left with no alternative but to really work out your brakes and come to a stressful halt, while a single Chevy Lumina chugs through the intersection, with their drivers so oblivious to how much I want them to veer off into a ditch and die for being on the road at the precise moment of least convenience for my ever-so important life.
I know it’s such a trivial, inconsequential thing to get pissed off over, let alone gain the motivation and momentum to segue into a brog post, but that’s what make us humans, we have irrational pet peeves. Fuck you SkyNet. May John Connors from all time lines be your eternal downfall.
Never again.
Will I purchase a used car from anywhere other than certified used. CarFaxes and pre-inspections be damned, far too much bullshit is still capable from indy dealers. The hypothesis with my piece of shit is that the rear axle was changed, likely from an undocumented accident, which explains why no original wheels seems to be able to fit on my piece of shit.
P.S. WordPress app sucks balls.
