If my site goes down

And I can’t post to it

Should I even keep writing?

The answer to this should be yes, but I’d be the first to admit that with my site and all Mossgreen sites down on account of the servers being physically moved from their old home to their new home, it’s almost as if I don’t have a brog anymore at all, and I feel no compulsion to write.  But due to the fact that I know that it’s only a matter of time before everything is back up online, that I should probably have some posts to post, for the sake of my OCD of wanting to have at least a post every weekday, as well as the fact that ultimately, I never really want to not write.

But yes, if you’re one of my six readers, I’m sure you’ve noticed that the site’s been down for [insert seemingly eternally indeterminate measurement of time], because the servers are completely offline, unplugged, and are sitting god knows where until they’re plugged back in and fed with Induku-internet once again.

What this means is that I’ll try my best to keep writing in spite of the fact that whatever I write on whatever date literally has nowhere to go, and then try and go back and retroactively post them when I had intended to post them, so that I can appease my neurotic need for continuity.

But even I admit that it’s a little weird feeling writing in word documents, only for them to go nowhere and sit until I can have my brog back up and running.

Impending brog hiatus

For about the next week, I’m going to be at Disney World.

Suffice to say, there will not be any substantial posts going up for about that time.

It’s safe to assume that any posts that miraculously emerge while I’m on vacation will likely be to a state of extreme relaxation, or inebriation.  Either way, I will have no regrets about them.

Have a good week everyone.

Hello World

So, to cut to the chase, Dragon*Con has come and passed, and it’s back to whatever we consider “normal life.”  Either it’s me beginning to show my age, or the fact that the temperatures within the proximities of Dragon*Con fluctuated from sauna to meat locker, but I have unfortunately come down with something pretty brutal and I’ve actually been home sick for the last two days.  Like real, debilitating sicknesses don’t occur to me very often, so this is somewhat notable for me.

But anyway, since I’m trying to keep it somewhat chill and just trying to cope through with rest and nothing strenuous, it’s afforded me a lot of time to catch up on the most arduous of tasks following any sort of event – processing of pictures.  Over the span of the last two weekends, I went to four new baseball parks, and then there was Dragon*Con itself, so in all that’s almost 600 photographs for me to sort through and try to make somewhat presentable.

Going outside of my normal OCD protocol, I’m actually going to be releasing Dragon*Con photographs and posts before I get to the baseball ones.  Considering that pretty much nobody other than me cares about my baseball ramblings, and the unwritten notion that there’s a general limited window of time following a Dragon*Con in which attention spans are at their most piqued, it’s a decision made for optimum social reasons over chronological order.

That being said, I welcome myself back to my beloved brog, and I look forward to sharing my picture takin’ with the rest of the internets.  Hopefully everything is received with fond reminiscing and plenty of laughter.

Impending brog hiatus

I feel the need to write something before I embark on a four-day weekend a week before the craziest four-day weekend of the year.  Needless to say, between the events of this weekend, and the events of next weekend, there really isn’t going to be much time for me to actually makes posts to my beloved brog, unless it is of the mobile and fluffy variety.  I take pride in my ability to maintain commitment to my brog, and refusal to let it become one of the millions of blogs out there that have gathered dust and been abandoned by disillusioned posers from all walks of life.

The SDCC hiatus

Not that I’ll be disappointing my seven readers, but there won’t be any updates for the next few days, as I’ll be in San Diego for Comic-Con. Despite my insensitive nonchalance about the fact that I’m going, I actually am excited about this trip. This is the first convention I’ve gone to on the west coast since like, Anime Expo back in 1998, and this is still going to be vastly new territory, since as it’s so very well known, Comic-Con is gigantic as heck, and is going to have like a million people attending.

Ultimately, I have two primary objectives while in San Diego, which will be acquiring a number of convention exclusive items, and going to Richard Walker’s Pancake House, which is within walking distance from the hotel and convention center. Otherwise, my itinerary is pretty wide open with the exception of whatever help I need to give the girls when it comes to media stuff, so ultimately, I’m hoping for a fun weekend of seeing and photographic costumes and friends, hopefully seeing some stars that I admire, and just taking in the chaos and insanity that is Comic-Con.

Impending brog hiatus

Because I’m gangsta like this.

For about the next week, and possibly some remnant days afterwards, there will not be any updates to my brog, as I will not be in the United States.  There is a high probability that I could be in a state of inebriation at the time in which anyone is reading this, but the point remains, there will not be any new posts or updates for a good chunk of upcoming days.

A quick note on brog programming

I realize my posting has been a little bouncing around over the last few days.  As I have kind of completed most of the travel I have planned over the last three weeks, I’m going to be playing lots of catching up with lots of my personal writing/photos/posting.

Here is a glimpse of all the things I need to catch up on:

  • I’ve been to four new ballparks
  • I did touristy shit in San Francisco and went to see Alcatraz
  • Photos from now four new ballparks to process
  • Subsequently four new ballpark entries to add to my ballpark project
  • Since I was at Animazement over this past weekend, there are some photos from that too
  • I’ll probably make some quickie-posts in order to tide myself over
  • And all the other self-appointed writing/photo obligations I put onto myself for others

So in other words, don’t expect much cohesion or rhyme or reason over the next days, and possibly weeks.
