I did predict that something else was going to happen: water main erupts on Roswell Road, causing a massive sinkhole, causing debilitating traffic to Roswell residents attempting to commute into Sandy Springs or Atlanta
The incident occurred mere miles away from the North Springs MARTA station, the current end of the Red line. This does not do any favors to any Roswell, Alpharetta or further northern communities, as they still will have to slog down GA-400 in order to take MARTA.
SO CONSIDER THIS TOO A MESSAGE, north Fulton/Milton whatever you WASPy NIMBYs want to call yourselves way the fuck up north. Cobb county got their message a little while ago, now it’s time for the white suburbs way up north to get their message too, that perhaps some extended MARTA service up to their communities might not be such a bad idea. I mean, the proposal for the Red line to go all the way up to Windward Parkway is nothing new, but shit like this, like seeing Roswell Rd. go down is just what the people might need to see in order to be reminded of just how beneficial it could be to have an alternate means available to them, and to perhaps stop dragging feet in rolling this out, so that things like this can be alleviated in the future.
The interesting thing of this to me is that diabolical son-of-a-bitch Keith Parker, the mastermind CEO of MARTA I suspect is behind all this carnage, allegedly lives up in Roswell, and uses MARTA to commute to his Atlanta-proper office. No better way to try and throw off would-be sleuths off his trail than to sabotage his own potential commute route, because why would he victimize his own residential area?
Because he probably altered his route and made sure he was through the mess before it happened; in fact, he probably rolled whatever demolition device out of his car onto Roswell Rd. before it blew the water main, in his rear view, while he leisurely finished his commute to the North Springs station.
I did predict that the carnage was far from over. Granted, I predicted that something would’ve happened a little further down the map, on GA-400 itself, but hitting a surface street right off of 400 to precisely bone Roswell and Alpharetta specifically, is equally as devastating to the objective of sending messages to the public; RIDE MARTA OR ELSE.
So, with the WASP contingents up north now dealt with, that really only leaves one region left to send a message to: the south side. Sure, Atlanta doesn’t give two flying fucks about the south side, but in order to really throw off suspicion, Keith Parker has to sabotage something in the south to make it seem equal that everyone would benefit from MOAR MARTA.
Perhaps a water main break on I-85 in College Park, which effectively strands the airport, and bones the WASPs from Peachtree City and Newnan? Or maybe a road collapse on I-75 in Hapeville, which screws all the commuters from Clayton County and below?
All I’m saying is that the carnage isn’t over, and with the I-85 reconstruction predictably ahead of schedule on account of involved parties getting big fat cash money incentives to rush, I wouldn’t be surprised if more roadway maladies occur a little more frequently than usual, because once I-85 is fixed, we’re almost back to the same motorist-packed status quo.
And if something actually does happen to a road on the south side, again, you’re hearing this shit first, right here. Keith Parker is an evil motherfucker tryna get people to use MARTA, by means of guerilla destruction tactics.
